Angular, succedent, and cadent houses
The four angular houses—the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th—are strong points of action and visibility. Succedent houses stabilize and develop resources. Cadent houses process, learn, and adapt. This is one way astrologers read emphasis without reducing a chart to one placement.
House systems matter
Different house systems divide the sky in different ways. Western charts often use Placidus houses. Vedic charts may use Whole Sign houses or another configured system. Always check which system produced a chart before comparing house placements.
